A Course In Miracles reminds us often of the path to hearing the Holy Spirit within us. The Quiet Voice of God. Jesus calls it brother, and it’s just another aspect of the all encompassing Mind of God.

It took a lot of walking on my spiritual path before I even realized that the words a voice would say, the ones I hungered to hear with straining ears, were but an approximation for how communication would be delivered. Miracles were noticed in the rearview mirror, only if I was paying attention. Yet I continued to pray for God to work through me, “God guide me”. God willing and my ego to the side it feels like I’m making progress.

I’m spending more time in the back seat of the car than in the driver’s seat, metaphorically speaking. If the ego is the driver of the the car, the decision maker is the person in the back seat. The decision maker has spent a lot of time meditating, choosing a path forward. The Peace and perspective that have come with studying ACIM has been worth it.
