Prayerachute Glossary

Some of these we made ourselves and some have come to us from our Gurus. Wikipedia has a great glossary too.

ACIM: A Course in Miracles: the latest teaching from Jesus. Widely considered as an advanced course to learn how to get in touch with our higher selves to rise above the reality that we seem to inhabit, a place of pain and misery for many.

ACIM-D: A Course in Miracles For Dummies: the latest teaching from Jesus with additional clarity from Tom Wakechild, wonderful ACIM teacher. Tom replaced many references in the text with the actual thing refered to, this makes it sound repiditious but makes it clearer, and easier to understand. You can purchase your own copy at his store: A Course In Miracles For Dummies by Thomas Wakechild.

Ego-body: A phrase Eckhart Tolle created to describe our sense of self married to the the body we enhabit.

Reality: (with a capital R) This is the real, unfiltered by human experience, world, it’s close to the ideal of the Garden of Eden.

reality: (with a lower case r) This is the mundane reality we all live in. It’s Fight or Flight. It’s filtered through our emotions, fears about the future, fears about the past, and our past, our experience that sets expectations and limitations.

Self: Big S-self. Our Higher self. Our God-centered self.

self: small s-self. Our ego focused self. Living in the ego-body.
